Is Designs worth registering and paying for
Designs can be worth registering and paying for if you need to create professional-quality designs quickly without advanced design skills. Its AI-powered tools, huge template library, and easy drag-and-drop interface make it ideal for entrepreneurs, marketers, students, and small teams who want fast results. The collaboration features and brand management tools add value for businesses, while the multi-language support makes it versatile worldwide. However, if you already use advanced software like Adobe or require highly customized, complex design work, you may find it limiting. Overall, it’s a cost-effective option for accessible, everyday design needs.
Our experience
When a platform claims to be an “all-in-one” solution for design, I’m naturally skeptical. I’ve used countless tools, and they all seem to have a major flaw somewhere. But after taking Designs for a spin, I have to admit it’s a remarkably versatile tool that gets the job done for a wide range of tasks.
The most impressive part of my experience was how quickly I could go from an idea to a finished product. The AI-powered tools are legitimately smart. I started by generating a new logo and brand kit for a small side project, and the AI gave me multiple professional-looking options in minutes, complete with font pairings and color palettes. This saved me from the hours of trial-and-error I’d typically spend on a task like that.
The real-world application for me, though, was in creating social media content. I used the AI to generate some graphics and even a short video, complete with a voiceover, for a promotional campaign. The voiceover feature, with its support for multiple languages and a good selection of voices, is a fantastic addition that adds a professional touch without needing to hire a voice actor. The process was intuitive—you just type in your text, and the AI handles the rest.
However, like any versatile tool, there are trade-offs. While the AI-generated designs are good, they can sometimes feel a bit generic. If you’re a seasoned designer looking for complete creative control and unique, bespoke visuals, you might find the templates and AI output to be a little too restrictive. I also found that the video generation could be a bit slow, with some users online reporting long wait times for their videos to be fully rendered. Also, some of the more advanced features are locked behind the higher-tier paid plans, and the pricing, particularly for teams, can get quite steep.
Overall, Designs is a powerful and efficient platform. It’s best suited for people like small business owners, marketers, or educators who need to create a variety of polished visuals quickly but don’t have the time or expertise to learn complex software. The drag-and-drop interface, combined with the AI’s ability to handle the heavy lifting of design and content, makes it a valuable part of my workflow for a large portion of my design needs. For me, it’s a solid a choice for getting quick, professional results, but I wouldn’t use it for a high-end, custom design project.
