Our Verdict
What is Brand24
Brand24 is a real-time brand monitoring and social listening platform that helps businesses track what people are saying about them across the internet. It collects mentions from social media platforms, blogs, news sites, podcasts, forums, and more, then analyzes sentiment, identifies influencers, and highlights trends. For brands that want to stay on top of their online reputation, manage crises quickly, or understand customer perception, Brand24 offers an easy-to-use dashboard with powerful insights.
Is Brand24 worth registering and paying for
Brand24 is worth paying for if you care about online reputation, customer sentiment, or staying ahead of PR issues. For marketing teams, agencies, and growing businesses, the tool provides real-time insights that can prevent problems, identify opportunities, and improve customer engagement. Its dashboards are beginner-friendly, but still powerful enough for professional use.
However, if you’re a very small business, don’t get many online mentions, or only need occasional monitoring, you may not need a dedicated tool like Brand24. In those cases, manual monitoring or lighter tools might be sufficient. For brands that rely heavily on public perception and social media conversations, Brand24 delivers strong value.
Our experience
I run a small e-commerce brand (streetwear drops, nothing huge), and last year we had a nightmare: some influencer called our new hoodie collection “mid” on TikTok and it blew up to 300k views overnight. By the time we saw it, the damage was done. That’s when I decided I never wanted to be blindsided again, and that’s exactly how I ended up on Brand24.
Setup was stupidly easy. I just typed in my brand name, a couple of product names, and the main hashtag we use. Five minutes later the dashboard was already pulling in mentions from Twitter, Instagram, random forums, even some Polish sneaker blog I’ve never heard of. I actually laughed out loud when I saw it caught someone complaining about our shipping on a Facebook group at 3 a.m. – stuff I would’ve missed for weeks.
The sentiment analysis saved my sanity more than once. Last month we launched a collab and the overall sentiment was sitting at 78% positive, but Brand24 flagged a growing pocket of negative chatter around sizing. Turned out we had a batch of tees running small. We jumped on it, posted a size chart update, and replied to the loudest complaints personally. Crisis turned into “wow, they actually listen” comments instead.
The influencer discovery part is legit gold. It shows reach and actual engagement, not just follower count. Found a micro-influencer with 18k followers who mentioned us organically three times in a month – reached out, sent free stuff, and that guy’s post did 4x better than some of the “big” accounts we were paying before.
Alerts are clutch. I have mine set to ping me on Slack the second anyone with reach over 50k mentions us. Caught a potential PR disaster last week when a semi-viral tweet accused us of copying a design. Saw it within 20 minutes, DM’d the guy, explained the inspiration, and he actually deleted the tweet and apologized. Bullet dodged.
Only real gripes:
- The cheaper plans limit historical data (I upgraded to the $99/month one pretty quick).
- Sometimes it picks up irrelevant mentions if your brand name is common (we get a few random Polish mentions because “our brand” translates weirdly). Easy fix with exclusion keywords though.
- Mobile app is fine for checking alerts but the full dashboard is definitely better on desktop.
Bottom line? Brand24 pays for itself the first time it helps you dodge a firestorm or find a collab that actually moves product. I sleep way better knowing nothing’s slipping through the cracks. If you’ve got a brand people talk about (good or bad), just get it. Seriously.
